Note of thanks from Jane & Brendan McKenna of the LauraLynn foundation

On behalf of LauraLynn, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to Eoghan & Deirdre, who set up the website, for their kindness and hard work – so truly appreciated. Also, sincere and heartfelt thanks to all who donated so generously. We truly appreciate the kindness and support.

It was very special to have families and children involved in supporting other families and children, not so lucky in life. We hope all the children had a special fun experience from such a lovely idea.

The funds raised will help make a great difference to the future success of the Hospice Project. We know firsthand how important it is that seriously ill children and their families be given the respite and support which is so vital, and the difference it will make in easing their burden.

We have now merged with The Children's Sunshine Home at Leopardstown Road, Foxrock, where building of LauraLynn House has commenced. We hope to open the doors in early 2011.

We wish you all a Healthy, Happy & Peaceful New Year.

Jane & Brendan Mc Kenna

Worthy Cause

The www.hohoho.ie website was set up by Eoghan & Deirdre Sadlier with the intention of raising money for the LauraLynn Foundation. [They bumped into Santa while on holiday in Kerry last summer and both Santa and Mrs. Claus love the idea and fully support it!]

The ‘LauraLynn Children's Hospice' Foundation was set up in 2001 as a result of an enormous personal tragedy in the lives of Jane and Brendan McKenna which saw them lose both of their precious daughters Laura and Lynn in the space of just two years. The foundation was set up with the intention of raising funds for a children's hospice, or house as they prefer to call it, which would provide respite for seriously ill children and their families.

When it is known that life is short, two things become very important to the family; the quality of life and the enjoyment of the time that is left. Caring for a seriously ill child puts an immense physical and emotional strain on the whole family. A residential children's house can provide a 'home from home' offering a place where families can relax, recharge their batteries, share the care and have fun with their children. Expert care will be on hand to help them make the most of each day and live life to the full.

LauraLynn Foundation has now merged with The Children's Sunshine Home, working together to bring comfort and support to many families. The first sod on LauraLynn House was turned at the end of September 2009, and the doors will be opening in early 2011. LauraLynn House is about respite for the family as a whole. It is about putting ‘life into a child's day, not days into a child's life' . For parents, it gives that much needed break – often as simple as a decent night's sleep. It supports well siblings, who are very much left out, when a sick child needs 24 hour care.

The cost of building runs to several million Euro, but the ongoing costs for the future upkeep also requires very significant funding.

We hope that this website might bring some fun into the lives of children all over Ireland with Christmas messages from Santa Claus, but also to help LauraLynn & Children's Sunshine Home to bring some light into the lives of less fortunate children and families. Volunteer Effort

All involved with the website are giving their time on a completely voluntary basis. As you can imagine, Santa Claus and his team demand very high standards, so even though we're all volunteers and work in full-time jobs (unfortunately completely unrelated to Santa, www.hohoho.ie or Christmas!), we still guarantee 100% satisfaction, or else a full refund.

If there is some aspect of the service which you're not happy with, then don't hesitate to email us at santa@hohoho.ie or leave a comment or feedback using the Contact Us form . We promise that we will reply to all queries within 24 hours.

Data Protection

All of your personal data is managed in accordance with the Data Protection Acts and will be deleted as soon as is reasonably possible after Christmas. We will absolutely not in any way disclose or share your data with any third party.

Financial Information

We at www.hohoho.ie do not store any of your financial data. In fact, we never see any of your financial details, apart from the amount you spend. We offer you the option of paying using the PayPal payments system. Paypal, with over 150 million customer accounts and used by 100,000 merchants to accept payments, is a service where individuals can make safe and secure payments over the Internet without having to provide sensitive financial information like your credit card or bank account number to the seller (i.e. us).

The payment process couldn't be simpler - you simply choose your DVD or text message bundle, pay on the PayPal website, and complete a form with some personal details which Santa will use to personalise his messages to your children. You'll receive an email confirmation of your purchase.

Our Christmas Workshop

While we're not allowed to tell anyone how to get to Santa's home and workshop (can you imagine what would happen if everyone found out ... there would be boats, trains, buses and planes full of people travelling up there meaning that preparations for Christmas would be delayed, possibly until next summer), we'd be happy to answer any questions anyone has about us and where our workshop is! If you'd like any information, email us at santa@hohoho.ie or using the Contact Us form and we'll get back to you.
